Jason Kidd

Seeing the next play before it happens.

Hall of Fame point guard. Two-time Olympic gold medalist. NBA champion. A nineteen-year playing career built on one job — making everyone around him better — and a coaching career that took the same job to the bench. The job hasn't changed. The floor has gotten bigger.

In their words

“Everybody gravitated to Jason. Without being the verbal leader, he was the leader. All the top players in the league wanted to play with him, because he passed the ball, because he did all the little things that help you win.”
Rod Thorn — Hall of Famer; the executive who traded for Kidd in 2001
“He trusted me, he put the ball in my hands, he motivated me on a daily basis, he pushed me to be great and not to be mediocre.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo — Two-time NBA MVP, on playing for Kidd in Milwaukee

01The Idea

The Point Guard Mind

A point guard sees the whole floor — what's happening, what's about to happen, and where the opening will be before it exists. Jason Kidd built a Hall of Fame career on that read. Everything since has been the same skill on a bigger floor.

Leadership

Nineteen seasons running NBA offenses. A decade leading NBA benches, including a Finals run. Reading rooms, managing talent, deciding under pressure — the work translates.

Development

The Jason Kidd Foundation and JK Select apply the same read to young athletes: see the talent early, create the opening, let them finish the play.

Business & media

An investor and director drawn to the same patterns — position, timing, teams that can be made better. And a basketball mind built for storytelling that respects the game.

“He’s the only one that’s never lost a game in international play ever. Ever.”
LeBron James — Hall of Fame enshrinement, September 2025 — interrupting Kidd, who was downplaying his own role

03Foundation & JK Select

The same job, off the court.

Jason founded the Jason Kidd Foundation to do the same job off the court — using sports to build growth, discipline, and confidence in young athletes, with a deliberate commitment to girls' sports and to widening access for kids who'd otherwise be priced out of the game.

Its flagship program, JK Select, funds nine elite youth teams across girls' basketball and youth baseball — covering the core costs that keep talented kids playing.
