Jason Kidd is a master of assists on the court, and now, he’s trying to help a cancer-stricken father off it.

Doug Campbell, father of three, needs your help (Dallas Morning News).

This coming Saturday, Jason will be participating in a bone marrow drive for 46 year-old Doug Campbell. In February 2000, at age 37, Doug was diagnosed with a stage 4, incurable, small B-cell follicular non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and is one of many Americans fighting this specific form of blood cancer. His only chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant.

DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center will hold a donor drive for Doug on Saturday, June 27th from 12-4PM at Power Play Fitness located at 6090 Campbell Road, Suite 136 in Dallas.

Jason was so moved by Doug’s strength and his story they he is spreading the word for people to sign up and register to get tested to see if they are a match to save the life of Doug or someone like him.

"I’m asking everyone in Dallas to come out and register with DKMS…Doug deserves to see his daughters grow up! If you’re not his match, you could become the life-saver of someone else. Register as a Bone Marrow Donor. You can save a life! How beautiful is that?!"
