It was slow going for the Dallas most of the night Thursday, but No. 2 made a key play when his team needed it most, and the Mavericks defeated the Charlotte Bobcats, 95-90

Jason’s steal with 50 seconds to go in the fourth quarter woke the Mavs’ up just in time to take it away from the Bobcats 95-90. That steal led to Dirk Nowitzki’s 3-pointer with 28.3 left to seal the deal.

Jason spoke to the Dallas Morning News:

“It gave us a chance to win down the stretch. I knew [Matt] Carroll was in the corner. I was just hoping I could entice Augustin to throw it to him. I just got my hands on it, and then we got a basket to seal the game for us.”

Jason had 12 points, seven assists and two rebounds in the 10th win in 12 games for the Mavs’.

STAYING STRONG
With two games left of their seven game home stand, coach Rick Carlisle is resting his regulars today in preperation for Saturday’s game against the 2-21 Oklahoma City Thunder. Carlisle quoted by the Star-Telegram:

“All these teams are tough, it doesn’t matter who is coming in. Oklahoma City is going to be no different. And if you think these guys played hard tonight with a 7-15 record, wait until you see the guys on Saturday with a 2-21 record. They are really hungry for a win.”

NEXT UP
Saturday the Mavs’ will take on the Thunder in Dallas at 7:30pm.
