Jason had the winning assist to J.J. Barea last night to beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 100-98, at American Airlines Center.
The three-pointer by Barea capped off a 18-4 run by the Mavs (9-8) late in the fourth quarter, helping the team get over the .500 mark for the first time this season.
The Associated Press wrote:
“The Clippers still led by 12 with seven minutes left when the Mavericks, behind a three-guard lineup of Jason Kidd, Terry and Barea, started their comeback.”
Jason, who had seven rebounds and 8 assists, found Barea in the corner. As Barea told the Star-Telegram:
“I saw J-Kidd bringing the ball up on the left wing and I knew he would eventually look my way. I knew if I got my feet set I would make it.”
