As Jason prepares to enter his highly-anticipated 15th season in the NBA, members of the Dallas Mavericks are more than excited about having him at the helm.
Mavericks president of basketball operations, Donnie Nelson, told the the Star- Telegram:
"He’s kind of basketball’s version of Brett Favre, one of the best ever to play the position. What he did for the Dream Team this summer is proof and an indication of that leadership. With the quarterback position being in his hands, that’s something we’re looking forward to.”
Teammate Dirk Nowitzki added:
“We’re putting him in a system where he can succeed and really be himself and just make his teammates better. Last year I don’t think he really had the chance — not pushing the ball, not being himself — to make everyone else around him better.”

Jason will have the chance to show off his skills in the regular season opener Thursday night Oct. 30th in Dallas against Houston. Tip is at 7pm.
