The 2019-20 NBA season has been put on indefinite hold as the league takes every precaution to keep fans, players and staff members safe from the continued outbreak of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
The NBA announced the decision to indefinitely suspend the season after Wednesday’s game between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder was postponed moments before tip-off due to a positive test from a Utah player. Several other games continued and concluded on Wednesday night, but by Thursday morning, the NBA had completely shut down the season.
