Coming into the new year, the Milwaukee Bucks sit at 19-15, the best record they have had through three months since the 2005-2006 season. While they have had high levels of success so far this season, they only look to get better going forward.
The biggest change that has facilitated success this season is the addition of Eric Bledsoe. Without Bledsoe, the Bucks were sitting at 4-7, but since his acquisition, have gone 15-8, showing his ability to mesh with the team, especially superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Coach Jason Kidd credits the speed that Bledsoe brings to their game in their ability to outscore opponents. This fast-paced offense is also supplemented by the return of Matthew Dellavedova, who missed 15 games with left knee tendonitis.

One of the most exciting bits of news to come from 2018 is that Jabari Parker has been called up to the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks G-League affiliate. It was February 2017 when he sustained a left ACL injury and had surgery to repair it, but it appears that he is doing well and getting closer to his NBA return. Coach Kidd spoke about his practice with the Herd, saying “it hopefully helps his process of getting back on the court and being ready to play when it is time,” though there is currently no timetable on his Bucks return.
The Bucks currently sit at the 6th seed in the East, but look to climb their way up as we approach the midway point in the NBA season. They face important Eastern Conference opponents to start off the new year, with games against the Pacers, Raptors and Wizards. Check out the Pacers at Bucks on January 3 at 8PM ET.
