As a part of our ongoing theme weeks here at JasonKidd.com, we want to not only highlight Jason’s incredible body of basketball work, but also give you, the fans, a chance to have a say by interacting through his Facebook Fan Page.

In addition, we’ll be looking each week for our JasonKidd.com Fan of the Week. Every Friday afternoon, we’ll ask a trivia question on Jason’s Facebook Fan Page about Jason in regard to the theme for the upcoming week. The first fan to correctly answer the trivia question in the comments section of the post will be chosen as the Fan of the Week.

Our latest question, posted on Friday, November 11th was: Jason scored a late layup to help Cal beat what team in the 1993 NCAA Tournament? The question received dozens of responses, but the first correct answer, of "Duke Blue Devils" came all the way from Austrailia.

Here’s a Q&A with the JasonKidd.com Fan of the Week, Jerry Guico:

Jerry, congrats on being named the JasonKidd.com Fan of the Week, tell us a little about yourself.

I’m 31 years old. Born in the Philippines, but moved to Sydney, Australia at the age of five and have been here ever since. I’m an Accountant working for a small accounting firm in Sydney and I look after the tax affairs for small business clients.

How long have you been a fan of Jason Kidd?

Since 1993 – his last year with the California Golden Bears

What is it that you like about Jason Kidd that makes you a fan?

What first attracted me to J-Kidd was his versatility (being a triple double threat night in night out), his pass first-shoot second mentality and his performances in the clutch.

What’s your favorite J-Kidd moment? Why?

Probably last season’s championship with the Dallas Mavericks! I had waited so long for him to get that ring and got quite emotional when he made his speech at the ceremony. It also showed the whole world that you can’t win a championship overnight by joining up with other superstars but you can with teamwork and patience!

What do you think makes Jason such a great player?

I am a big believer in teamwork and defense over individual brilliance and J-Kidd is one of the best in making his teammates better through his passing and leadership and is also #3 all time in the NBA in steals. I also love his humility, even after all the successes he has had throughout his career. He is just a true champion!
