When the Dallas Mavericks take the court tonight, they can give their point guard Jason Kidd the only birthday gift he desires right now: a streak-snapping victory.

The Mavericks dropped their second straight game on Monday night, falling 115-99 at the hands of the New Orleans Hornets. Jason believes the team has looked a little too relaxed on the court lately, as he told DallasBasketball.com.

"The big thing, we’ve just been inconsistent, maybe a little bit too relaxed … It’s something we have to look at."

J-Kidd scored six points, dished out six assists and coralled four rebounds on Monday. The 6-foot-4 guard even blocked 6-foot-10 New orleans center Emeka Okafor in the third quarter, leading to a Dirk Nowitzki layup, But Jason’s athleticism and grit didn’t show up on the scoreboard.

The Mavs face the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at 7:30 p.m. CST on Fox Sports Network.
