Though Jason Kidd knew he wasn’t going to play against the Cavaliers on Wednesday night, that didn’t stop him from getting in some extra work on the court.
After a 90-minute shoot around with the reset of the team, J-Kidd and Nowitzki took it upon themselves to get some extra practice, taking jump shot after jump shot along with running sprints.
It’s the sort of thing that will allow Jason and his teammates to do all of the little things — as he explained to USA Today earlier this month — that are the difference between being good, and contending for a title.
"Getting loose balls, tip-ins, keeping the ball alive, getting out in transition, finishing above the rim."

J-Kidd and the Mavs travel across the state to finish the pre-season against the Houston Rockets Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on KTXA.
