Though it wasn’t pretty, Jason and Co. fought off the struggling Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night and emerged with a 103-99 win.

Jason had eight points, seven assists and four rebounds in the victory, and afterward, he spoke to the Star-Telegram:

“The homestand was well-needed and we’ve played pretty well here. We started off on a good note, and we want to end it on a positive.”

The Mavericks (13-9) have won 11 of their last 13 and will end their seven game home stand tonight against Denver. Denver who is 16-7, will prove to be one of the hardest match-ups for the Mavs’ throughout this home stand. Jason quoted by the Dallas Morning News speaking about Denver:

“They’re playing at a high level. So for us to protect our home against a very talented team would be huge, especially in giving us confidence going out east.”

SEATS FOR SOLDIERS
For five seasons running now, the Mavericks have brought in members of the military to see a game, and Saturday, they did it again — to the delight of No. 2:
