By beating the Indiana Pacers at the American Airlines Center last night, 109-106, Jason and the Mavs reeled off their second consecutive home win, and stretched their victory streak to five games.
And for the first time this season, No. 2 has his team at a .500 record. He finished with 11 points, 13 assists and five rebounds in the win.
Though they were down 83-77 at the start of the third quarter, it was the duo of Jasons — Kidd and Terry — who made plays down the stretch to get the Mavs’ the win. Coach Rick Carlisle quoted by NBA.com:
“Kidd and Terry just made play after play. Our veterans willed us to a win. You’ve got to give credit to them.”
J-Kidd agreed:
“We kept fighting. We relied on our defense and got some stops.”
NEXT UP
J-Kidd and Co. will have to step up big time in rematch with the Lakers (12-1) in LA on Friday night. Tip is at 10:30 PM.
