Tomorrow night’s game against Houston is the start of Jason’s first full season with the Mavs’, and the first step in realizing a career goal: winning the NBA Championship.
After No. 2 was traded in February of last year from the Nets to Mavericks, he was quoted by ESPN about the challenge that lay ahead:
"I think this is a great challenge. We feel that we still have a lot of the pieces to be successful. We know that it’s not going to be easy."
In an interview with the Star-Telegram this past week, No. 2 continued along a similar theme:
"We don’t talk about making the playoffs. We talk about winning a championship. If you talk about it and see it, it helps it become reality. If you get in that position, you have to take advantage of it. And we’re going to try to take advantage of it."
