After Jason and other stars made a habit of watching Michael Phelps at the Water Cube, the eight-time Beijing gold medalist paid Team USA a visit.
Phelips, who has won 14 gold medals in his Olympic career, spent Monday night taking in Team USA’s victory over Germany. He then visited with the team in their locker room after the game.

A pair of Phelps’ goggles even found their way to Howard’s post game conference according to the Dallas Morning News:
“Some of us have gone to see a lot of swimming,” Kidd said. “I don’t know how the goggles got there. But it was really great to visit with Phelps. Incredible. To be able to see history yesterday was just incredible.”
Jason talked with media about meeting Phelps:
“We didn’t see him until after the game. (He) just (told us) congratulations and best of luck and go get the gold medal. He’s really cool. We were more asking him what his plans are for upcoming and when he’s going to swim again because everyone wants to see him swim again.”
